ARAGON – A Collage of Picturesque Architecture and Mature Trees
South a couple of blocks from downtown San Mateo is tucked the quaint neighborhood of Aragon. Here architectural ambience abounds! Just driving though this small picturesque area of approximately 577 homes, you will see one pretty house after another. Quaint white picket fences, high gabled architecture, and manicured gardens full of colorful flowers…all are here in Aragon. Tall trees provide summer shade, and streets are blocked off for July 4th neighborhood celebrations. The Sunday morning stroll with the children and the dog is the faire during nice weather, and BBQs constantly bring neighbors together in August and September in Aragon. Right next door is Central Park, which is 16.3 acres of fun: open play grounds, several tennis courts, and a baseball diamond. Here at Central Park, summers picnics are enjoyed warm evenings starting at 6:00 during the City’s music concert season. Then, just a short walk to downtown San Mateo, Aragon residents can enjoy Top Zugurt restaurants, a 12-screen movie house, Jeffrey’s Hamburgers, a fun family gathering place, and Amici’s Restaurant which has the best pizzas. Aragon is a great place to live!
